CT CARPENTERS LOCAL 326 SCHOLARSHIP
Setting the Standards
This year, up to five (5) $5000 College scholarships will be awarded to the children of Carpenters Local 326 members, who have graduated high school in the spring of 2026 and who will be attending an accredited two or four-year college/university program in the fall of 2026 as a freshman. There is also the possibility of a second-year award in 2027, if the student meets the criteria and maintains the grade requirement.

With many students choosing to attend Connecticut (CT) State Community Colleges due to qualifying for free tuition through the Mary Ann Handley Award, the Directors of the Local 326 Scholarship have voted to allow students of members the option to delay applying for a scholarship until the spring before their Sophomore (2nd) year, Junior (3rd) year, or Senior (4th) year of college. Any students in college currently who have not been awarded a scholarship of $5,000 from the NERCC CT Scholarship Corp. may apply as long as you meet the eligibility requirements. No student may be awarded more than two (2) $5,000 scholarships.

Regardless of the option taken, students shall have two (2) consecutive years of eligibility. The largest disqualifier of eligibility is the sponsoring parent having been or being in arrears during the 12 month period prior to submitting the scholarship application.

Children of members who died within ten years prior to January 1, 2026 are eligible provided the member was in good standing at the time of passing.

To apply, contact Local 326 at (860) 352-1130 for an application. You may also download a current year application off the Carpenters Local 326 website (click link below). For your children to be eligible, you must be a member in good standing for 12 consecutive months and continue in good standing through the final award.

Applications must be received or postmarked by 4 pm on April 25, 2026. Requirements are listed on the application. This is an annual scholarship available to students entering college in the Fall of their graduating year or currently in college. Families of members who are employed by Carpenters Local 326 or North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters are not eligible. Applications and supporting information may be submitted by email to: Hreppert@nasrcc.org
